'Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino' sees the cyborg assassins of Italy's Social Welfare Agency continue their work to eliminate the governments enemies. With the terrorist FRF continue their campaign against the government causes them to come in increasing conflict with the SWA. The most dangerous enemy of the SWA is the assassin Pinocchio, raised from childhood to be a supreme killer, he is able to go toe-to-toe with the girls of the SWA.'Il Teatrino' is the thirteen episode second season of the Gunslinger Girl anime. One of the things that I liked most about the previous season was that the series spent just as much time, if not more, on developing the characters and their relationships as it did on the action, and Il Teatrino continues this wonderfully despite having fewer episodes than the original. The young assassin Pinocchio is a nice addition to the cast and it is nice to see him develop as the series goes on. The animation for the series is generally good and the voice acting for the English dub is just as good, if not better, than that in the previous volume (the original Japanese is also included as usual).'Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino' is a very nice sequel to the original season and the series as a whole is definitely one of my favourite anime series, well worth a full five stars.
